Why We Do What We Do

We believe every family deserves compassionate, unbiased support during pregnancy, birth, and the tender weeks that follow. At Uplifted Beginnings, our mission is to come alongside your family during new life transitions, bolstering your support network by providing you with evidence based education and the champions in advocacy that you need to move forward with peace and confidence, no matter how your journey unfolds!

Our aim is to keep our team intimate and tightly woven so we can stay grounded and immersed in our local community and remain strictly focused on continuity of care for the families we serve! We maintain that trust and genuine connection are crucial components to our relationship with clients. Therefore, each of our prenatal and postpartum visits are held in person and your team is available and responsive every step of the way.

We believe that birth is a physiological process to be supported and we respect that sometimes, medical intervention can be helpful or even necessary in certain scenarios. Our side quest is to build professional rapport with the medical providers to cultivate a cohesive support team and low stress birth environment.

You will find that our doulas are trained and certified through top credentialing agency’s, maintain BLS certifications and carry business insurance. Our team has doulas that are in network with Tricare and Carrot insurances with a goal to expand that list in order to give access to as many families as possible.

  • "Devin was amazing, and I absolutely credit our successful VBAC to having her by our side for the birth of our second daughter! Devin was wonderfully laid back and knowledgeable. I felt so empowered to make my medical decisions during my induction. If we ever have more babies, we know who to call!"

  • "I am SO grateful to have had Devin and Jenna for the birth of my son. If you are looking for a highly knowledgeable, judgement free and supportive duo, they are your girls! They were there throughout my entire pregnancy and birth, and offered do much peace of mind along with a wealth of knowledge I didn't know I was lacking. Devin and Jenna, thank you for your help in making my birth such a positive and beautiful experience! I would recommend them a thousand times over, and hope to use them for any future pregnancies!"

  • "Devin is the most down-to-earth doula have met. She is knowledgeable about all things pregnancy from fay one through postpartum. She was always my hype-woman through all decisions and helped me find the care team I needed to support me through my pregnancy from prenatal massage to acupuncture and a webster certified chiropractor. She even guided me through finding a new OB at 32 weeks which is a HUGE accomplishment. I couldn't have had the best pregnancy and labor without her support and knowledge through every step. No other choice than Devin!"

  • "I can't speak highly enough of Jenna and Devin's doula support through my pregnancy and Casey's birth. From the very beginning, they set up a group text that became such a valuable resource-having both of their knowledge and input as I prepared was really grounding. Jenna's presence during labor was exactly what I needed: calm, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping me advocate for my own needs and wants according to the birth plan we'd developed together. What really meant a lot to me was knowing I had someone right there in real time who understood what I was going through and could help me navigate such a high-stakes, emotional moment. Their preparation and support gave me the peace of mind and confidence to trust my own instincts. I am so grateful for both of them!"

  • "I LOVED having Devin as our doula! It brought me a lot of peace throughout my pregnancy knowing she would be there no matter who my delivering provider was. She was calm, knowledgeable and positive throughout our whole labor experience! Devin knew just how to communicate with our doctor/nurses and supported me physically/emotionally. I had such a wonderful experience, and her support was a big part of that! Thank you, Devin!"
